A dialogue between three translators, this text analyzes the challenges of translating Dalit texts for both South Asian and North American audiences with specific reference to the translations of Joo: A Dalit's Life by Omprakash Valmiki and Towards an Aesthetic of Dalit Literature: Histories, Controversies and Considerations by Sharankumar Limbale.
