El Camino Real

Abstract

Following the death of his father, Tomolelu, an almost-grown Ohlone boy, flees the Mission Santa Clara de Assis. He follows the only road he knows, El Camino Real, until he finally understands the words of his father. The earth speaks to those who listen, and this time, the earth is guiding him away from his mission home and away from the El Camino Real.
