As of August 7, 2004, Postcolonial Text became a formally recognized publication of the Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (ACLALS), with thanks owed to Ranjini Mendis who, during her term as President of the Canadian Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies, founded the journal in 2003, with John Willinsky at the University of British Columbia, Canada. When Chantal Zabus became the Editor-in-Chief in 2010, the Journal moved to the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord where it is currently hosted.

Sources of Support

The Université Sorbonne Paris Nord hosts this journal's software in its efforts to promote open access to scholarly publishing in postcolonial studies.
